While sitting on a beach,

ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ,

On the love’s branchlet, 

ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਟਾਹਣੀ ਉੱਤੇ,

Are enjoying in cool climate ,

ਲੈਣ ਅਨੰਦ ਠੰਡੀ ਰੁੱਤੇ,

The ocean’s music,

ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਦ ਦਾ,

The instrument deep within, 

ਧੁਰ-ਅੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਜ਼ ਦਾ,

Listening to the psyches’ deep visit,

ਸੁਣਨ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਮਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਡੂੰਘੀਆਂ,

Understanding topics top secret,

ਸਮਝਣ ਬਾਤਾਂ ਭੇਤਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੂੜੀਆਂ,

The night is also waking up,

ਰਾਤ ਵੀ ਲਵੇ ਅੰਗੜਾਈ ਤੇ ਅੰਗੜਾਈ,

They are also climbing to the top,

ਉਹ ਵੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਨ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ,

By diving deep into their eyes,

ਉਤਰ ਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਹਿਰਾਈ,

By forgetting the whole universe,

ਭੁੱਲ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਦੀ ਲੋਕਾਈ,

By creating a divine cosmos, 

ਸਿਰਜ ਕੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇਵ ਲੋਕ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ,

They have become an owl’s muse.

ਉਹ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਕਿਸੇ ਉੱਲੂ ਦੀ ਕਲਪਨਾ।
